Hall Keeper

Hours: 10-20 p/w (average)

Remuneration: £12.60 p/h (x 1.5 after 11pm)

We are currently recruiting to increase our bank of part time Hall Keepers within Pollokshaws Burgh Hall (PBH)

PBH is a Grade A building in the South West of Glasgow, governed by a Charitible Trust (PBHT Ltd.) It is the Trust’s aim to not only sustain, but to further drive this historic Glasgow landmark into being a thriving part of the community and provide an enjoyable experience for all of our customers.

The Hall provides facilities for many community and private groups such as art, yoga, dance, fitness and religious prayer groups. We also host many large events including Weddings, Mehndis, Baby Naming events, Birthday Parties and Theatre/Cinema events.

You will join our team in delivering a friendly, efficient and professional service in line with PBHT’s policies, priorities, standards and targets. You will work to help make Pollokshaws Burgh Hall sustainable in every way.

As Hall Keeper you will:

*Maintain Pollokshaws Burgh Hall

*Carry out day to day cleaning and light maintenance duties

*Liaise with the public face to face, by email and by telephone

*Set up and take down for a variety of events and classes

*Assist with in-house events

*Open and Close the premises

*Please be aware that duties will involve some lifting and moving of heavy objects

*Take part in training as required

*Keep up to date with Health and Safety and the policies and procedures of PBHT

*Any other duties as required by the General Manager

The Hall Keeper position requires you to be self motivated, reliable and have good practical and organisational skills. You should have very good communication skills and provide great customer service to our hall users.

The role requires flexibility as shift work is required to cover PBH’s varying events and users, covering mornings, evenings and weekend shifts. Additional hours will be available during busy periods or to cover holidays and sick leave.
